Having a baby can be one of the most exciting times in your life.  Unfortunately many of the products we use in the home from personal products, cleaning supplies and many baby clothing, bedding and nursery decor can be harmful to the health of your baby.  Many conventional paints contain VOC's (volotile organic compounds).  Even paint that contains low VOC's will take approximately 2-3 years to off-gas.  Plastic toys may leach chemicals such as Bisphenol A (BPA) — a hormone disruptor our government officially deems “toxic.”  There are many alternative and natural baby products that are both accessible and affordable.  In-depth information on clean and healthy toys, clothing/bedding and room decor will be adressed.  

 

At Blue Point we will discuss any questions and concerns that parents have and create remedies, natural and toxic-free homes for new babies and children of all ages.  Children are more susceptible to chemical exposure.  Their small bodies react differently to certain chemicals than adults and often we find that exposure standards are based on the average adult male.  Not children.  

 

Giving your child a healthy start, keeping the home uncluttered and respecting the planet are giving your child a healthy start. As if that’s not enough, you're passing on the message that treating the environment well starts from birth.
